One Step beyond is often thought of as the red headed step child of the Twilight Zone but in fact  pre-dates it by almost a year. The series created compelling docu-dramas out of documented unexplainable occurrences involving the paranormal. Not as flashy as Twilight Zone it nonetheless was a popular program that ran from 1959 to 1961 for three seasons. Copyrights on a number of episodes lapsed in the eighties paving the way for tons of badly mastered prints to flood the VHS market. Paramount has used the fiftieth anniversary of the show to beautifully remaster it and fans can now expect to have the entire series made available within a short time. This set offers all 22 episodes of season one, an extended version of the pilot and audio interview with Don Mankiewicz.
