You've heard us blabbing on about this one for long enough now that it shouldn't really require an intro at all so I'll keep it brief. Director James Huth has been hard at work on a live action adaptation of Morris and Goscinny's Lucky Luke with French comic Jean Dujardin in the lead role for a good while now. We've absolutely adored the series of character teasers released thus far but with the French theatrical release just around the corner they've decided its time to drop the full theatrical trailer. And it's fantastic.
Given the lack of success when it comes to the live action Asterix films coming to America - Asterix sharing a creator with Lucky Luke - I wouldn't hold out much hope for this one, either, but it does already have a Canadian release date scheduled so here's hoping the DVD release will be English friendly. It's not a guarantee - many films release here only in French-speaking Quebec - but quite possible.

Fuck! That is so perfect.
That looks superb! Dujardin was so good in OSS117.
I laughed at the Le Pacte des Loups spoof.
agent Wax, what part was the Loups spoof?
The guy with the leather coat buttoned up so you only see his eyes? That is the exact same coat design in Le Pacte des Loups. I didn't understand a word of the trailer though, so I could be wrong.
True, same top of coat, but the expanding bottom of the coat in this film is much superior. If you saw it in the Jesse James character teaser. I don't get the dialogue much either, hope they put up a subtitled version eventually. Seeing how big Luke is internationally, I hope they are aiming world wide. The film certainly looks topnotch in every way.
