Yes, I am aware that the official English title of writer-director Petra Revenue's debut feature Karaoke Kungen is Almost Elvis but that just doesn't quite do it for me, so I'm going with the literal translation of Karaoke King.  And, honestly, I'd hope that those two possible titles are enough to tell you whether or not you're interested in this one because it is exactly what you'd think:  A Swedish comedy about an overweight, middle aged man working the karaoke circuit as an overweight, middle aged Elvis.

A road movie about the loss of innocence, a dark comedy about the difference between being loved for who you really are and being loved for what you can deliver. A journey through the difference between the fake and the authentic. And a saga about the magic force in true friendships.

This one looks intensely silly in all the right ways with just the right dose of tragedy and pathos injected to make something that lingers.  Take a look below!
