We have been eagerly tracking the progress of the Pang Brothers' martial arts fantasy picture The Storm Warriors from the day it was announced. For all that the Pangs are often - and deservedly - criticized for their frequently shoddy scripts there is still no denying that they rank among the most visually dazzling stylists working in Hong Kong today and the idea of the two of them being turned loose on a big budget, all star cast, martial arts fantasy - a sequel to one of the most successful Hong Kong films of all time - well, that's just exciting.
And so far, what bits and pieces have been shared from the upcoming film have been very impressive, from the reels screened in private at the international markets to the public teaser and trailer and one early, large scale battle sequence. 300 is clearly an influence on this but they're given it their own unique spin. And now there are two more sequences to take a look at, both of them shown in bits and pieces in the earlier promotional materials but now running as complete scenes: the water droplet battle and the floating swords. Check them down below!

Wow. First, I'm going to buy a copy of 'The Storm Riders' to see what I've missed. Then, I'm going to slowly go insane waiting for 'The Storm Warriors' to be released in Canada.
Some may say the CGI looks awful, but it's very fitting here for the Manwa Style Action. And it looks gorgeous in my opinion-.
Far better then "The Laundry Warrior" for instance.
