If you compare the marketing strategy for Imagi Studios' Astro Boy between North American and Japan, the approach is worlds apart. While the domestic trailer takes on a comedic tone and also showcasing Astro's many robotic capabilities, the Japanese trailer place more emphasis on the sentimental side of the story. Which is better? My pick is this one. The only drawback is its a tab bit spoilerific so consider yourself warned.

wow, the tones of the American and Japanese trailers couldn't be more different. The American one makes it seem like the kid version of Iron Man. The Japanese one is a tale of a father trying to "replace" his son with a robot but tragically realizes he can't.
