Lo-fi Winnipeg special effects guru Steven Kostanski is a big favorite in these parts - I've programmed his most recent short, Heart of Karl more than once - and he's got a little something new brewing. While no details have yet been officially released on the official Astron-6 website they do confirm that Kostanski is hard at work on his latest opus, this one apparently a Nazi-themed horror picture titled Manborg. Kostanski tells us that it is a feature film - his first - "about a soldier who gets killed fighting in a war against hell only to come back as a cyborg in the future. He then teams up with a crew of colorful characters to fight Dracula. There's going to be stop-motion monsters, arena battles and hoverbikes! And kung-fu and demon-nazi-vampires." In other words, everything a growing boy needs.
There is also one tasty poster. Hit the link below to check out a larger version of the culty goodness.

I, for one, am still drooling in anticipation for Cool Guys. Set to be a 30-40 minute short feature that I hear is coming out fairly soon.
I'm drooling over here too. It's embarrassing.
