[Updated with English subtitled version of the trailer.]
Just shortly after the two posters arrive yesterday for the romantic martial arts film Raging Phoenix, the official site has been launched with the full trailer that showcase Thai action heroine Jija Yanin rocking a whole new look and personality than her debut film as well as laying the beatdown on her opponents with a fusion of martial arts and hip hop dancing.
The theatrical release date in Thailand is on August 12th. You'll find the two trailers below after the break.

Trailer 1

Looks ok, can't say i'm totally sold to the whole capoeira fusion, some fights still look a bit mechanic like in Chocolate. But i'm willing to give it a chance.
This looks like serious fun.
Anyone else think Mugen from Samurai Champloo?
I'd link a video, but seem to be having YouTube problems atm.
Everyone wants to be Tony Jaa lately, still wont jump from this one, dont expect much from storyline but alot of nice looking ass kicking
HAHAHAH
LOOKS INSANE OH MY DAYS!
I love the innovative combat!
Break Dancing with Muai Thai!
Feels like Ong Bak 2, how Tony Jaa used different martial arts skills in that movie.
I'm looking forward to this movie, hope it's good!
Im not sure I like the whole dance fighting either. It may work or just be downright cheesy. Theres definitely moments in the trailer that look impressive while others not so....
Damn! With her new haircut, she looks like Yukari Oshima, back during her glory days. Film looks good though. The dance part may not work and there does seem to be a fair bit of wirework, but I'm willing to give it a go. (I must admit, that I didn't think much of "Chocolate" on my initial viewing, but have grown to quite like it now.)
*Sheepishly* Yea, I'll still watch it though. Seriously though, these films are getting so ridiculous and threadbare in the storytelling dept that pretty soon there'll be a curtained off section in the Video store for 'em. (Rated TTT for Thai Thai Thai)
Screen Gems could make big money with this.
I'll definitely check it out. I find Jija (Jeeja) quite an engaging performer. So what if there's not much story? Jackie Chan's movies never had much in the way of plot, but that never bothered me. And let's not criticize a movie's story based solely on the trailer.
This looks awsome and like a shitload of fun imho. :)
So there is actual drunken fighting in it! Did wonder.
And yeah, there's not really enough to that trailer to say for certain the plot will be laugh-out-loud throwaway rubbish - it could well be, but I'll be happy if they make it another Chocolate (or even Danny the Dog). Sell me nonsense with a straight face and some decent performances and if the fighting's up to scratch I'm fine with the rest.
I'll give it a go. I do remember seeing a Chinese martial arts flick that tried blending the whole hip-hop thing with Kung Fu and it failed but from what I've seen it's a rare attempt why not give it another try. Although some of the sets looked out of some really bad amusement ride. Drunken Muay Thai. Sounds fun.
This must be a good film

Jija will you marry me?
drunken muay thai ftw, lol :)
Based on the trailer alone, this movie looks a lot more interesting than Chocolate.
blew me away. I'm very entertained.
Looks better than Chocolate (which I enjoyed). And I still need to wash the taste of Ong Bak 2 out of my mouth.
Now, dance fighting...meh. But drunken Muay Thai? Count me in!
Looks like great fun. Samurai Champloo, they need to make a live action version of that one. Not that theres anything wrong with the original, it would be wild to see it in a different version.
You Got Served meets Ong Bak. Thai action keeps surprising me all the time. Power Kids and now a romantic action-omedy.
