Considering that the film rights to all three of Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy of crime novels were bought simultaneously with work proceeding on all three at the same time it certainly should not come as a surprise that the first trailer for the second in the series - known here in North America as The Girl Who Played With Fire - has already arrived. But with the first film - Men Who Hate Women or The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, depending on where you are - proving a huge hit everywhere it has screened in Europe with the global roll-out proceeding at full speed, the timing really couldn't be better. If fans of crime literature are to be trusted then Larsson's creations here rank up with the very best of the genre and the films are an equal match. But don't take my word for it, you'll find the Fire trailer - very slick, very impressive - below the break.
The book was a huge success over here in Iceland but the film won't be shown because the distributors are asking too much money for it. I guess Iceland will download it then.
