Joy to the world! The Devil's here.....in cinema form.
The highly anticipated return to horror from Lars Von Trier draws near and we got the trailer to show how utterly creepy and unsettling that will be.
Run don't walk...to the trailer after the break.

That actually freaked me out. WOW! It reminds me more of my favorite work of his The Element of Crime.

Looking good, just the pretentious dialogue before the awesomeness bothered me.

Looking forward to it

When is this scheduled to hit US shores?

Usually, I hate Trier, but I'm slightly interested in this project.
Willem Dafoe is acting and Anders Thomas Jensen is writing, that's kickass.

wow, this got atmosphere in spades

As a horror fan (and with all due respect to the Trier fans) this looks like another over-thinked pretentious Trier film.

Hope I'm wrong, we need more transgresive artists like Trier out there.

Oh yeah, forgot to add Carlos Reygadas to that list.

I think its rather subjective ChevalierAguila, I actually quite like 3 of the four you mentioned and don't find them pretentious to any noticeable degree. At least in context or comparison to other directors of a similar contemporary genre....whether you call it arthouse, int, etc...

I think pretentious would be more closely linked to names like Vincent Gsllo then those mentioned honestly.
