In the lead up to Cannes a good number of film websites are getting all buffed and polished with new materials added and the official site for Lars Von Trier's Antichrist is among them, having recently had a fistful of stills from the film added to the site. Beyond the simple fact that these are images from the new Von Trier film, they're notable for a couple reasons. First, they're nice and high-res. Yummy. Second, most of them - the more visually arresting ones - are labeled simply as 'frame grabs' which means, considering that Von Trier shot this film on the Red camera, that you are seeing exactly what things looked like on set. And for those who have either forgotten - or never had the chance to see - what a stunningly visual director Von Trier can be when he puts away the Dogme trappings and allows himself to actually compose and light thing properly, well ... zowie. Absolutely stunning.
