Full Trailer For Fyodor Bondarchuk's INHABITED ISLAND 2!

by Todd Brown, March 9, 2009 9:01 AM

As promised in the recent teaser, the full trailer for Fyodor Bondarchuk's Inhabited Island 2 - the continuation of his epic adaptation of the novel by Stalker authors the Strugatsky Brothers - has arrived online and, in a break from Inhabited Island tradition it shows a whole lot of new stuff. Bondarchuk and co have been huge teases with material from this film so far, the early teasers for the first installment including literally just single shots, but with part one a bona fide hit and part two expected to do just as well, the wraps have come off.

This is big, large scale film making and while I still find the aesthetic peculiar in places - it's amazing how much a vision of the future can be shaped by culture - there are a fistful of undeniably beautiful sequences in there. And given the strength of Bondarchuk's recent work - he is easily one of the premiere directors in Russia - I continue to expect good things. Check it below the break!

The Dialogs are pretty cheesy. It doesn't feel real, more like a Hollywood-Copy.
