Poster Alert! Escape From New York and Carrie

by Swarez, January 10, 2009 12:05 PM

The Alamo guys are killing it. Killing it I tells you. They got two fresh new posters for two classic flicks, John Carpenter's Escape From New York and Brian De Palma's Carrie. The Escape poster is done by a newcomer to the Alamo poster clique and to poster making in general, comic book artist and lead animator on The Scanner Darkly Nick Derington. The poster, which is based on an old French Fantomas poster, captures the characters perfectly and should please fans of The Russell and Carpenter's classic. The poster is 5 color (including a split fountain) 24x36, printed on specialty crème paper, signed and numbered.

Methane Studios have truly created a masterpiece with this striking Carrie poster. This is something I would surely liked to see to my wall (damn you failing economy!). This is a 2 color 25x36 piece with a clear varnish overlay and comes individually numbered.

Both posters go for 30 bones.

I don't like that Escape poster at all. It looks *way* too much like a comic book cover and not nearly graphic enough.

The Carrie poster is awesome though.

Neither of the related links link have links. Which stinks (HA! UNINTENTIONAL RHYMES RULE!) because I want to check out the other posters. And now I'm off to google it.

Panik, I don't know what kind of gay porn you've been watching but this doesn't scream gay porn to me.
