It's barely even long enough to qualify as a teaser but the first clip from Paco Plaza and Jaume Balaguero's [REC]2 - the follow up to the hugely successful Spanish zombie picture that was just remade in the US as Quarantine - has arrived over night and is currently tearing up the 'net. In the early stages of post-production right now this film picks up right from where the first left off and obviously continues with the same look and feel of the original. Any word on when the original [REC] is getting a release of some sort in R1? I guess I could try to find a Euro-release but I'd rather just wait for a North American one. I did download a torrent a while back but decided this just wasn't how I wanted to experience this film for the first time.

Are we sure this is real? That video has been on YouTube for months, and it's not on FILMAX's own YouTube channel...?
I think [REC] is getting an R1 release 1/27/09 :)
Well, even if it's fake, it's a better trailer than the one for Quarantine at least.
And it looks like it might take place after right after the events in [REC].
I suppose it could also take place right after someone's found the tape and watched it as well though.
