Well, whadda ya know?! Earlier today in my post on the posters for Banlieue 13 - Ultimatum (aka District 13 - Ultimatum), I mention we'll keep you posted when the trailer will arrive and here it is. It seems the stakes has been raised since the last installment and once again, the stunt work is jaw-droppingly amazing, especially the last shot. Explore the official site for an overview of the dangerous locations & gangs within District 13. Heres the synopsis:
Banlieue 13, two years later. The government has changed, not the rest ... The wall of isolation - ever higher, ever growing, ever further - has spread around the cities ghettos and gangs that are proliferating have increased their influence. The traffic is now divided among five ethnic neighborhoods, each headed by a fearsome gang leader. More than ever determined to "settle the problem," the secret services voluntarily fire to powder. Damien (Cyril Raffaelli), cop martial arts expert, and Leito (David Belle), able to squeeze in every corner of the suburbs, make new team. Their goal: to save the city from chaos. Their program: tough fighting and race for defying the laws of gravity ...
The release date is on February 18th in France. You'll find the trailer and teaser below after the break.

The balcony shot's insane but possible if he had enough momentum. It's a pretty standard horizontal bar gymnastics move, just moved to a MUCH more dangerous location. And, man, there are some nasty looking falls in that trailer ...
Come on... You can't possibly think the balcony stunt is real!?! Anyway, I agree that there seem to have crank it up a notch for the sequel. Some wild stuff in there. Some stunts seem right out of good old 80's HK flick... Nice.
Since when does Paris look like mozabique heh, but i'd watch this anyday, digged the first one!
Mirror's Edge: The Movie.
no, that balcony shot is not possible. the thing about horizontal bars is that you are able to spin around multiple times to build up the momentum to perform a maneuver like that. there's no way he could pull that off from a dead sprint. plus, it appears after the cut he's gone from flying straight up to having a significant backwards motion.
it's still cool. and it probably still took an insane amount of athletic ability to create the different elements that comprise the sequence. just don't expect it to play out in a single take.
More Parkour sil vous plait!! Paris looks like that because it is set in the future. . .and I guess there's no gravity since they are pulling more insane loop de loops on horizontal bars.
the first one was cool, this one looks insane, i cant wait for this one.
The French movies never let me down, movies like Dobermann,The Nest and not forgetting the Taxi series were a blast even if Taxi 4 suffered from little action, but this movie looks amazing.I liked the first one and I know I will like this too.
I would like to see both movies in this series released on Blu-Ray in Norway.
