Never having been a huge fan of the original Sellers Pink Panther show - aside from the great cartoon opening with 'that' car - it's tough to make a call on this, the sequel to the 2006 version. But given Martin's uncanny ability to stick to any shabby comedy going, I'm a bit sceptical. Maybe it's one for the kids...

Tough to make a call on this? Not at all.
It's shit, just like the first one.
I simply don't understand how anyone can't find Peter Sellers funny.
One of the great comedic characters of all time.
maybe it's a generational thing.
Roger Moore was Clouseau AFTER plastic surgery, and I rather enjoyed the whole thing. But I'm old enough to have followed the entire series and --with the exception of the Alan Arkin film- I loved them all -- up through Sellers' death. Re: Steve Martin.... it's not like Sellers was replaced, and who better to take a shot than Steve Martin? There will never be a combo like Sellers & Blake Edwards at their peak, but enjoyable films can STILL be made. I think you should cut Steve Martin some slack!
I don't disagree (re: enjoyable films still be able to be made) but I think trying to do so with the character at this point is pointless. I like Steve Martin and I like Clouseau; the two are just not a good mix, I think, or more exactly, the material isn't strong/funny enough to make the match work for me.
Peter Sellers was a great actor in all fronts, and he was actually quite diverse, comedy just happen to be his big selling point.
Also, the original Pink Panther flicks are cheesy and haven't aged well at all, but, it's Sellers what makes them tolerable and fun to watch. The supporting cast was also usually good.
Why is this on Twitch?!
