It's been a bit of a hurry up and wait game when it comes to landing materials for The Broken, the new thriller from Cashback director Sean Ellis with Lena Headey in the lead. French producers Gaumont released a trailer a while back but we were asked to take that version down as there was some unfinished post production work included in it and we've been waiting for a replacement ever since. Well, that replacement has arrived with a new trailer releasing in - of all places - Japan. And I gotta say: the Japanese know how to cut a trailer. This looks fantastic.
On a busy street in London, Gina thinks she sees herself drive past in her own car. Stunned by this strange event, Gina follows the mystery woman up to her apartment. From here, events take an eerie turn for the worse until Gina’s awareness slides from solid reality into a world that will haunt more than just her nightmares.

The Mirror 'moment' at the end of the trailer rocks.
lots of nice eerie imagery throughout - the mirror shattering during the dinner party is going to make a lot of people jump out of their seats.
Not at all what I was expecting, tone-wise, and the whole "the version in the mirror is evil or does something different" must be a cliché by now, but it's great seeing Headey get to act.
Ellis has got to be really annoyed that MIRRORS came out earlier this year and stole his thunder. Considering that both trailers use the exact same mirror gag really lessens the intensity. How close are both of these films to the Korean original?
