I have a lot of faith in director Henry Selick and have a really hard time imagining a director better suited to adapting Neil Gaiman for the big screen but somehow I find myself a touch less enthusiastic about the brand new theatrical trailer for Selick's adaptation of Neil Gaimian's Coraline than I expected to be. Is it the Dakota Fanning factor kicking in? Or am I just tired and cranky? Hit the link below and weigh in yourself ...

NOpe. This looks fabulous. I seem to have been anticipating this and Where the Wild Things Are for a long time now. 2009 promises to be a treat.
It does seem to focus more on the fantastical side of the story, rather than the creepy. That may be because of the medium. Still looks good. My 11 yr old and I are looking forward to it (and the film version of 'The Graveyard Book')!
I hear ya Kurt - Where the Wild Things Are? Amazing. I saw some test footage and HOLY CRAP. It looks wicked.
This looks to be good fun, though I could do without Fanning. However, that aside, this looks like it could be lots of fun. I find trailers misleading for this sort of thing, because taken out of context, it can be very hard to tell the validity of a scene or a moment. The 'feel' of the trailer is right though. I'm in.
Looks good alright. Quite a nice break from all the CG feature films.
Looks great! I just hope the jumpy stop motion doesn't give too much eye strain in 3D.
Over at drawn.ca there was a post about extra hidden stuff over at the official site.
