English Subtitled Trailer For Thai Horror COMING SOON

by Todd Brown, October 16, 2008 4:26 AM

You may not know his name, but I can virtually guarantee that if you're at all a fan of recent Asian horror film you know his work. Sophon Sakdaphisit worked as a writer on both Alone and the original Thai film Shutter - since subjected to a very bad remake - and he is stepping into the director's chair himself with Coming Soon.

What kind of scenes in a horror film scares you the most?

When a ghost appears totally unexpectedly?
When the main character does not see the ghost sneaking up behind him?
When at the very end you find out that the main character was actually a ghost all along?

But none of this compares to the feeling of arriving home alone and suddenly being stuck by a feeling of déjà vu that you are reenacting the very same scenes in the horror movie you just saw! .. coming soon.

Sakdaphisit and the studio behind this one both have histories of quality work so expectations are running pretty high for a film that sets out to simply be a fun ride. A Thai trailer for this surfaced a little while back but we've been holding out for the English subtitled international version, which you can now find below the break in the Twitch Player.

The scares are things we've seen before, I'm pretty sure the lights slowly turning off down the corridor was in some random american remake of something, and the jaw ripping has only just been done in Mirrors.
