Allow me to plug one for the home team here. Colin Cunningham's Centigrade is a film that I like rather a lot. A film I like so much, actually, that I programmed it at the Worldwide Short Film Festival here in Toronto and then passed it on to my programming cohorts at Fantasia and Fantastic Fest who also liked it rather a lot and the film went on to win a whole lot of love at all three festivals. This is one of those tour de force sorts of moments, a single camera, single actor little film written by, directed by and starring Cunningham - a familiar character actor in the Canadian scene - as an abusive father trapped in a bewildering situation. The entire film is Cunningham's descent into panic as he realizes exactly what the situation is and he has created an absolutely superb picture.
And now you can see it. You can see the trailer below the break in the Twitch Player if you'd like, and if that sits well with you then you can head on over to iTunes to download the whole thing. Nifty.
