I'm sure any regular readers of Twitch are well aware of Yoshihiro Nishimura’s outrageous splatter film Tokyo Gore Police by this stage. I've had the chance to see it on the big screen a couple times now and one of my favorite parts of the film is how Nishimura takes a bit of time to establish a compelling world for the film, a task accomplished in no small part thanks to the bizarre ads that run on television within the film. An anti-harakiri PSA? That's in there. As is a quartet of schoolgirls chirping happily about how cute their new, designer, brightly colored wrist-slashers are. There are four of the TV spots in all and they're bizarre, compelling stuff that give the film a bit of satiric bite. And now all four have appeared online. They've released unsubtitled versions - which is a shame - but they're still fantastic. You'll find all of our Tokyo Gore goodness below the break.

damn...i really need to see this movie!
anyone know any info on what the release date is for this one?
This shows just how brilliant and ahead of its time Robocop was when it was initially released, more than twenty years ago.
IT's supposed to be on DVD in December.
awesome!
thanks todd!
I really cant wait to see this, it's part of Abertoir's (Wales only horror film festival) line-up this year. They're screening Machine Girl also. Roll on November 12th!!
Great commercials. You know you'll never see anything like that state side. The movie will be playing at Facets in Chicago Oct 31 - Nov 6
