Oh, look. The zombie film of 2009 has just arrived. The title is Dead Snow and it hails from Norway, which is apparently about to be attacked by a swarm of Nazi zombies unleashed from their frozen ice cave by a pack of witless youth. We ran the posters and some stills from this one back in August and commented then on just how good this thing looked. Well, we've got the teaser now and it looks even better. This one just screams buckets of fun. A great look, very cinematic, a killer premise, a strong cast and a nifty balance between fun and a legitimate sense of menace. Plus it would seem that we're going to see zombies run down by flying snowmobiles, which has got to be a first. If you're going to do a zombie film these days you've got to take the genre someplace it hasn't been before and it's looking like this does exactly that.
Check the teaser below the break in the Twitch Player.

What ever happened to that Worse Case Scenario zombie film? They had some awesome teaser trailers to try to raise cash but I haven't heard any updates in a long time. This sort of looks like the snowbound version of that one.
Somebody told me, was it you Todd, that the Worst Case Scenario guys had gotten the sets from some Danish film to shoot in so it seems to be still going on. Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer.
Dead Snow looks promising, love me some nazi zombies.
It was Verhoeven's Black Book, actually.
The last update on Worst Case Scenario was back in Feb, when they were borrowing sets from Black Book. http://www.gorehoundinc.com/index2.html
I wasn't blown away by the teaser but I still have high hopes for Död Snö.
Just read a book called Redbreast, about Nazis (and neo-Nazis) in Norway. Is there a theme going here? No zombies, though.
Uh, Bart Wang just hooked me up with the link to this trailer and I am beside myself with glee.
