One happy thing about the current wave of Russian genre film is the growing number of full out action titles the country is producing, titles with a pleasingly 1980's approach to them, films that it's not hard at all to imagine in-their-prime beefcake stars a la Sylvester Stallone fighting over. They're big, they're burly, they love to blow stuff up. And the latest title to enter the fray is spy thriller Invincible, also known as Man of the East.
Yegor Kremnyov is a Russian special intelligence agent. During his last mission, which was supposed to be simple and safe, all of his accomplices were killed. But the guy that they were to have captured turned out to be the secretary of the fugitive oligarch Sorkin - Mikhail Shering, who has been on the wanted list for a long time. According to rumors, Shering has secret papers that are of interest not only to Russian intelligence, but also to the powerful West crime syndicate. Now Kremnyov is faced with the difficult task of bringing Shering home. He is surrounded by treachery, conspiracy, ambushes and traps, but nevertheless Yegor plans to deliver Shering on his own. But Kremnyov's main trap is the very cargo he is to deliver - Shering. It is not so easy for Kremnyov to avoid the influence of his fellow traveler. This deathly dangerous journey will change them both - both the fugitive Shering and the invincible Kremnyov.
Fist fights, bazookas, boat chases, shower love ... the trailer for this one has all the good stuff in a lean, two minute package. You'll find it below the break in the Twitch Player.

Oh how I miss the days when there was explosion of ass kickery with the macho take-no-shit and kill-everything-that-moves attitude and the plot takes a backseat to loud, mindless, balls-to-the-wall action. Its a guilty pleasure of mine. This looks like it fit the bill.
Especially liked the inclusion of the obligatory shower sex... and was that a clip from the Bourne Ultimatum in there?
yeah, i had the same impression, they totally try to recreate some greengrass shots there, shame on you :)
I swear, they stole my idea!
thats oleg!
