We've been outspoken supporters of Brit film makers Adam Mason and Simon Boyes (Broken, The Devil's Chair, Blood River) in these pages for a good while now so when Mason fired me an email last week asking if I wanted to take a look at one of his early short films I, of course, said yes. The film is Prey, shot on location in Norway in 2003 before the duo got to work on Broken. Loosely based on the true story of Robert Hansen - a serial killer who took a number of strippers and prostitutes into remote regions of Alaska so that he could hunt them down - it is everything you'd expect from Mason - uncomfortably gritty and realistic, grueling stuff - and also one thing that you might not expect: very funny. Mason passed us a high quality version of the short for our Video Player, so you can check it out below the break.
