A Manga Legend Comes To The Big Screen. First Teaser For Osamu Tezuka's MW

by Todd Brown, September 23, 2008 4:26 AM

Though he'll always be best known for creating Astro-Boy, manga legend Osama Tezuka's body of work ranges far wider than just stories about a little robot boy. Widely considered his darkest work MW has found a large and growing audience for Tezuka in recent years, weaving a bleak tale of military cover ups, poisonings and a roaming serial killer. MW is coming to the big screen, currently being adapted into a live action film and the first teaser has just arrived online. Not much to it thus far but it's good to see Tezuka getting some love and we can only hope this lives up to his legacy. Check the teaser below the break in the Twitch Player.

That's more effective than the manga it's based on was.

I'm not a big MW fan but I do enjoy BUDDHA, ODE TO KIRIHITO and what I've read of DORORO.
