We've been tracking the progress of Malaysian martial arts picture Kinta for well over a year now, drawn in by the beautiful cinematography and the presence of several national champion martial artists in the cast. Well, after some lengthy delays as the film made it's way through post production it appears that it's finally nearing release as a full theatrical trailer for the picture has been released in Malaysia, joining the previously released teaser that we brought to you back in April. More action in this one and more of a look at the sets and cinematography, both of which are impressive. You'll find both the teaser and the new trailer below the break.

What is with the God-awful english voiceover? Why the hell can't they just leave the cantonese dialogue as is with the english text? As a local of the film's locale, I think the film looks pretty decent, but the mind-numbingly bad sound in this trailer sinks any enjoyment to be found in watching it like a tin ball in a river.
i don't think i've ever seen a trailer that uses both text AND voice-over. kinda defeats each other's purpose, doesn't it?
and i don't think i ever seen a trailer with so many evil "HEHEHEHEHE"s.
other than that, looks slick by Malaysian standards. nice prod values.
The movie might end up being decent, but man. Does the trailer SUCK or what?
is that the voiceover guy from grindhouse?
i think the audio spoiled the trailer
