Our thanks to regular reader Mary for keeping an eye on all things BABYLON AD for us here. Mary's jsut dropped us a line to let us know that the first US trailer for the scifi picture with Vin Diesel and Michelle Yeoh has arrived online and is looking good. And, yes, I have to say that I agree. Kassovitz has always been a stellar visual director and his eye-candy skills are on full display here with stellar production design and some solid action sequences, including a bit of Michelle Yeoh ass kicking. On the down side some of the CG is a bit flat and features the score from Requiem For A Dream, used here for about the zillionth time. Stop that, people. You'll find the French teasers below the break and hit the link below to check out the new trailer on IGN.

I think the movie looks pretty good. Yeah, the "Requiem for a Dream" score is sickeningly overused for sci-fi and fantasy movies, and the CGI does leave a little to be desired.

Except for that missile explosion at the end---I think that was bad ass. It reminds me of Alice's psychokinetic manipulation of fire in RE:Extinction.

I'll definitely see this in August[?].
