It's been a long and winding road for the big budget remake of Russian horror picture Viy - itself based on a novel by Nikolai Gogol. But with the film on track for release in early 2009 the PR machine is starting to roll on it again and a new twelve minute featurette from the film has just arrived. This balances finsihed footage with behind the scene work and as has been the case with most Viy related promos I still can't tell at all whether this is going to be brilliant or total trash.
