Sure, Takashi Miike's God's Puzzle bombed horribly in Japan but, hey, that's what happens when you make a rom-com that revolves around theoretical physics. The failure of that film does nothing whatsoever to dampen my enthusiasm for his upcoming big budget adaptation of classic anime Yatterman, a project perfectly suited to Miike's skills and style. Ramping up anticipation even more, the fine lads at Nippon Cinema have unearthed a lovely shot of the Yatter-Bark, a giant robot dog that features prominently in the film and was constructed over a period of three months at a cost of more than a quarter million dollars. For that price it better clean up after itself.

That looks just like my dog, except it's bigger and made of metal. I'm looking forward to this, but I look forward to anything Takashi Miike directs. I wanna see GOD'S PUZZLE, too.
