It's one of the most critically acclaimed Japanese films of the past year and it's getting an English subtitled DVD release in Hong Kong June 27th. The film is Yoshida Daihachi’s family-from-hell comedy-drama Funuke: Show Some Love You Losers, a film that won major acting awards for its cast and has Daihachi now widely considered to be one of Japan's bright up and comers. It's also not at all the sort of film that you expect to get a DVD release in Hong Kong which raises hopes that we may see some more off-the-beaten track stuff coming along in the future.
