As I've mentioned before Pascal Laugier's ultra-nasty French horror picture Martyrs was the buzz film of the Cannes market, earning that crown by sharply dividing audiences with its incredible levels of ultra realistic and very, very punishing violence. The film has since been slapped with an 18+ rating in France - a very restrictive rating that pretty much dooms it financially if the rating stands after the inevitable appeal - and now the first chance to get a peek at what the talk is about has arrived in the form of an English subtitled trailer.
