Though I never came across it myself there was apparently a nine minute promo reel of John Woo's upcoming Chinese language epic Battle of Red Cliff on display at the Cannes Marche Du Film and the good people at Chinese web-portal SINA have put the whole thing online. Or, at least, that's what I'm told. SINA never, ever works for me so I haven't been able to check it out myself ... if some kind soul were to load the clip into the Twitch Player so that those of us who are cursed by the SINA-gods can check it out as well, that'd be greatly appreciated.
You can check the earlier trailers in the Twitch Player below the break.

i just posted the footage in the twitch player. the video quality is really poor, but the content certainly has its fair share of interesting shots. i remain hopeful we'll get an end result that feels like a hong-kong-era john woo film after the last decade or so of his sub-par hollywood output...
Yes! The master is finally back.
My fingers remain crossed, but I've been burned too many times.
Icky. It's a cam job but you can find it here.
Hopefully, John Woo will stick to Hong Kong film industry more after completing 1949.
