After a bit of a dry spell in the Asian DVD scene with not much of note hitting shelves things are beginning to perk up. Prachya Pinkaew's Chocolate is on the way and both Shamo and L: Change the World should become available in the next week or so but three other titles we've written about a fair bit are all freshly up for ordering.

First is Cub Chien's Scare 2 Die, the directorial debut from the former Pang Brothers assistant. Trailer on this looks remarkably nasty for a Hong Kong production and the DVD is region free so it's good to go anywhere in the world. Up second is acclaimed drama Run Papa Run, starring Louis Koo as a gangster trying to escape his past and be a good father to his newborn child. This one's region free, too. And finally, there is Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon, the big budget historical epic with Andy Lau, Sammo Hung and Maggie Q.
