Omar Shargawi's debut film, Go With Peace Jamil, has been turning heads and racking up awards since it first screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. With the film's Danish premiere soon to arrive - Shargawi is a Dane of mixed descent - the first proper trailer has arrived and it looks like potent stuff. Denmark, of course, is a nation well familiar with Islamic religious tensions and Shargawi dives headfirst into those issues here, capturing the violent tensions between Danish Sunni's and Shiite's and the largely unseen world that exists in parallel to mainstream Danish society with a roving, restless camera and what looks to be a powerhouse performance from his lead.
You'll find the trailer in the Twitch Player below the break.

Looks like my kind of movie. Very excited for this one.
Yeah, it does look good!
Agreed. This looks great. Seems to have the grit of films in the Pusher trilogy, Godforsaken, Fratricide, Menace II Society.
Wow. That looks like powerful stuff and it's very commendable that they are releasing this thing now, especially how the climate in Denmark is at the moment regarding muslim immigrants. It will be very interesting to see what the reaction will be.
