We first reported on Cub Chien's upcoming, three part horror anthology film Scare 2 Die almost a year ago and had nearly forgotten about it since, as the film made it's very long way through the post production process. Chien is best known as the regular cinematographer on the Pang Brothers' films and is makes his directorial debut here, in a grisly film that tells three interconnected stories set in a hospital. With Chien at the helm you'd expect this thing to look good - their look of the films is what the Pangs are consistently praised for - and it absolutely does, and it also looks as though Chien has thrown all restraint to the wind when it comes to packing in the jumps.
