Just a couple of days ago I commented that a major trend in current Russian film seems to be the big historical epic. Well, there are a couple other trends also making themselves clear in new Russian film. One, obviously, is effects heavy sci-fi and fantasy film. The other? Broad, Zucker Brothers style slapstick comedy. The latest to come from that latest trend is the upcoming Hitler Kaput!, a World War II farce. It's a surprising choice in subject matter given how deeply Russia was affected by that war - the war also provides fodder for current serious minded box office hit We Are From the Future - but production values look fantastic and pay particular attention to the soundtrack. Hilarious! Check the trailer in the Twitch Player below the break.

it looks dumb...but funny ^^
Waht a shame. Again.
If afraid that this type of comedy will turn to trend. There are 2 more of such comedies in production.
