DiCaprio. Scott. BRAVE NEW WORLD.

by Todd Brown, March 30, 2008 5:30 AM

It's happening. The long legal wrangle over Aldous Huxley's Brave New World has come to an end, Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly holds the film rights and Ridley Scott wants to make his return to the world of science fiction to direct. I still think Aronofsky would be the best possible choice to direct a film version of the Huxley classic but if Scott can get back to the sort of sci-fi mastery he showed with Bladerunner then it'd be mighty hard to argue with his selection at the helm.

i would rephrase: he should find back to any kind of mastery, like dePalma, his movies of late show a steady decline
