One of the common threads at this year's Hong Kong Filmart were stories about the people at Mei Ah just being generally unfriendly. Everybody I know who tried to approach them about festival screenings got the brush off, I was told no promo existed for upcoming action flick The Moss which was a blatant lie since they had screened part of the promo at their press conference the day before, and - bizarrely - they had absolutely no flyers or materials of any sort on any of their films - new or old - available for prospective buyers to pick up and take away. It was a perplexing way for a company present to promote their products to behave, to say the least.
But what they did have was a series of character posters for John Woo's upcoming Battle of Red Cliff and they are gorgeous. That's Shido Nakamura's to the left and all of the major stars got one. Heck, they even made Takeshi Kaneshiro look butch in his. Again, these weren't available in any sort of take-away form but the fine lads at AHT have got photographs of all of them on their blog. There's a bit of flash-glare on them all - they were kept behind glass - but you get the picture. You can check the trailers for the film below the break and hit the link below to see all of the posters.

Wow, those look great. I hope Woo did a good job with the movie. judging from the trailers and all the pics I have seen so far, I have got really high expectations for the film. I heard the Japanese actress Koyuki(from Always Sunset on Third Street) was in it too. I wonder who she is playing. Too bad Ken Watanabe didnt get the chance to play Cao Cao. Nothing against Zhang Fengyi, I just think Watanabe wouldve made a pretty bad ass Cao Cao is all.
