It's a good fan to be a fan of film noir, with new noir oriented projects popping up all over the world these days. One of the most prominent projects are Norway's Varg Veum films, a series of six projects to be split between theatrical and television release, all based on the popular Norwegian literary character of the same name. The first of these films - Bitter Flowers - opened to mixed reactions in Norway but there's simply no denying the quality of the cast and the talent behind the camera and so I still have high hopes. The trailer for the second entry, Fallen Angels, has just arrived and, once again, it looks to be smart, exceptionally well shot stuff. Very nice.
