Fresh off winning Best Animated Feature at the Japanese Academy Awards for his Tekkon Kinkreet word is out that director Michael Arias is making the move into live action features. Already in production, his new film is a remake of German film Knockin' on Heaven's Door with Tomoya Nagase and Mayuko Fukuda starring as a young pair diagnosed with fatal illnesses taking a road trip to the ocean. This is, of course, a comedy.
