Lee Myung-Se's M Arrives On DVD!

Korean director Lee Myung-Se is a bit of a divisive force. A simply enormous visual talent his films tend to challenge conventional structure and technique and so while everybody ends up admiring his visuals - it's impossible not to, they're stunning - some are left cold by the story telling while others view him as pretty much an outright genius. His quasi supernatural mystery thriller M had that exact effect when it screened at the Toronto Film Festival a while back. Kurt absolutely loved it, I admired it but found it a bit sterile. That said, the version we saw was an incomplete edit and the full, final version of the film is about to arrive on DVD in Korea. It looks to be an impressive set, three discs loaded with features and a soundtrack CD included. While I have no way of confirming this just yet Lee's previous picture, The Duelist was one of those very rare Korean releases to feature English subtitles on the key bonus features as well as the film itself so that may very well be the case here.

You'll find the teaser for the film in the Twitch Player below the break and hit the link below to order the DVD.
