It's been a good year for Malaysian film internationally and the awards just keep piling up. The IFFR has just announced its three winners amongst the selection of short films and Twitch fave - and director of the stellar Rain Dogs - Ho Yuhang took home one of the three Tiger Awards for his new short As I Lay Dying. The other winners were Ah, Liberty! by Ben Rivers (UK) and Observando el cielo by Jeanne Liotta (US). According to the official press release, "As I Lay Dying was selected for ‘its picture perfect framings, its smooth and sure-handed embrace’".

I had the chance to meet Ho last year and this seriously couldn't happen to a nicer or more deserving guy ...
