It never rains but it pours for Michel Gondry, evidently. He's got Be Kind, Rewind about to hit theaters, he's currently shooting his part of the Tokyo triptych, he's already announced an animated feature to be co-directed with his son, he's still got Jack Black attached to an announced adaptation of Rudy Rucker's Master of Space and Time (which should be BRILLIANT in his hands), and he's just spilled details on yet another new project to MTV. Titled The Return of the Ice Kings, he's not saying too much about it just yet beyond that he's writing it himself, he's already got actors in mind and it revolves around a group of children who invent a type of water that makes you hear music when you drink it. Premise kind of strikes me as a happier, friendlier sort of tale Kurt Vonnegut might have spun in his prime and all I can say is bring it.
