One of the more buzzed about American horror films of recent years The Signal made a huge splash in its initial festival appearances and then, sadly, dropped into a sort of no-man's land, reportedly due to some unresolved music rights issues. Well, those are issues no longer, everything's moving ahead, and anxious fans will finally be able to catch the film on the big screen February 22nd. And to celebrate there is a new trailer on Apple. Go get it.
Man.. Was it rights issues to the SAME song that's played over, and over again during the film? The Interpol/Editors rip-off? It just seems like it would be a blessing for whoever's music is being used (free of charge!)..
Regardless of the music, was definitely underwhelmed by the actual movie. Just my personal opinion of course.
