The annual Taiwanese Golden Horse Awards were given out last night - and, golly, don't all those Oscar winners feel ripped off that the just get a little golden man while the Taiwanese get a HORSE - and to no great surprise, Ang Lee's Lust, Caution took home all the big prizes with a total of eight awards including best film, director, screenplay, actor, new performer, costumes, score and an Outstanding Taiwanese Filmmaker award for Lee which - frankly - seems a little redundant. It was a good night to be named Tony Leung, apparently, with Little Tony taking the hardware as Best Actor for Lust while Big Tony scored for The Drummer. The only films other than Lust, Caution to take home multiple awards were Jay Chou star vehicle Secret, The Home Song Stories, and visually sumptuous supernatural romance thriller The Matrimony.
