Many thanks to Tommie for pointing the way to the trailer for Downloading Nancy, the upcoming film by Johan Renck with cinematography by the always stellar Christopher Doyle. Maria Bello stars as the titular Nancy, a depressive and self destructive woman who leaves her husband (Rufus Sewell) for a man she meets on the internet (Jason Patric) whose own destructive tendencies tend to be played out on others. Bad things follow. The casting on this looks note perfect - I've always been a fan of the underused Sewell and while Patric's really only good at one thing he's really good at it and this is it - and Doyle gives everything a truly uncomfortable intimacy.
