Yeah, I'm a fan and to my mind this is glorious news. Yes, I'd have loved to see Joss Whedon make it big in the film world but with his gift for narrative and long, complex story arcs television is what the Buffy creator is best at and he's heading back to the small screen!

The show is titled Dollhouse and will star Eliza Dushku as a secret agent who can be imprinted with customized personalities and abilities to suit her current mission - obviously she is the titular doll, ready to don any garb required to get the job done. FOX is producing and here's hoping this one doesn't get added to the long, long list of innovative shows commissioned by the FOX creative team and then abandoned by the marketers who can't figure out what the hell to do with it, as was the case with Whedon's last - and best - television foray, Firefly.

This has to be the best news I've heard all day -- well besides the prospects of a new job.
