One day after the launch of the new Twitch video player and the count is already over one hundred and sixty trailers, short films and clips - everything from a short film by Wong Kar Wai to a tv ad featuring Ong Bak's Tony Jaa hawking fruit - loaded into the system. We're still working through our own libraries getting things added in and encourage you to do the same. For those wondering, San Ku Kai has a comfortable lead in the upload race to win himself a copy of the GITS: SAC Second Gig DVD box set.
The goal, again, is to build the largest one stop shop for film trailers from around the world - a permanent repository of all the good stuff you come here for - and to do that we need the help of you, the readers. There's just way too much out there for us to compile ourselves. Current stuff is fantastic but we'd also love to get some old classics in there. Anybody got a trailer for Big Trouble In Little China handy? The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across The Eighth Dimension? Old Toho sci fi? We'd love to have 'em ...

Brian Ruh, you are a good and blessed man. My Big Trouble itch has been scratched ...
Any idea how long it takes for an upload to actually appear in the Twitch archives? I’ve upped quite a few and am only seeing a handful on the actual list. I’m sure the screening process is a bit time consuming which is probably what’s holding them up. I also had the Wong Kar-Wai directed video for DJ shadow’s “Six Days” rejected due to copyrights which is a bummer. Are there any restrictions when it comes to short films? I have a fair amount of obscure early works from some notable filmmakers that I can share if allowed. What about more popular music videos directed by guys like Gondry or Jonze? I’m thinking uploading a White Stripes video wouldn’t be acceptable no?
Todd is handling all the video approvals at the momemnt...
Oh, and no problem, Todd. Glad to help out another Big Trouble fan.
