Columbia Tristar Malaysia has announced the launch of a 1:22 min teaser trailer for Stephen Chow's CJ7 (aka A Hope), which will be online exclusively on Yahoo tomorrow, Nov 22, 3.45pm Malaysian time (approximately 2.45am EST).
The trailer will be up on Yahoo Malaysia (www.yahoo.com.my) for only a day, but will also be available on the Yahoo websites of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, and on the main Yahoo site. No info on how long it will be available on those other sites though, so stay up a little if you're on the other side of the world!
For China, the trailer will be on Sina.Com, while Japan will launch the locally translated version after tomorrow.
Being 2:09 am over here in Mexico, i just watched the teaser trailer in yahoo Malaysia. Nice, left me wanting to see more.
Teaser looked good. The kid was very funny in the end and I loved how it looked like he was miming the song used in the trailer.
I doupt that the "tagline" (you're talking about the "In space..." line right?) is something that will be used in the marketing but rather a joke used in the trailer.
this is the second time he spoofs 2001 (here, it's with the music). in Shaolin Soccer, the bald monk head aligned with the football in the intro is straight out of 2001.
