Mmm, a tasty little exclusive here for you Twitch-folk in the form of a trailer for local - by which I mean based here in Toronto - film makers James Wilkes and Jeff Spriet's short film Desmond Coy. Wilkes passed me a copy of this a little while back and I was so impressed I responded by telling him he had to cut a trailer for the thing ASAP so it could be spread a little wider. Shot on an impossibly small budget it starts off all smart and elegant before taking a truly vicious turn on the home stretch. Let's just say that sometimes when opportunity knocks it may not be best to open the door, okay?
I don't quite understand what was going on there, but it looked interesting, I guess. I'm tired of the torture movement in film, to be honest, but it's a short film so that's good. The main guy could be Topher Grace's brother! Uncanny.
