The latest genre outing from Spain's Filmax finds them in an apocalyptic mood, pondering the events that could bring on the end of the world.
The Apocalypse will happen when the last «Just man » dies. Two cryptic armies have been secretly fighting for centuries. A war based upon the belief that the guardians of the Apocalypse, the Just, men far beyond their own kind, exist, and that the Final Judgement would depend on their survival. Both organizations act in the name of Good, but their purposes are strictly opposed. One of them wants to protect « the Just » for the sake of humanity while the other group looks forward to destroying them in order to regenerate the human kind. After many years of fights and battles, there’s only one Just man left, Teo. He is a common fellow suddenly involved in a war in which he ‘s both the cause and the aim. After an attempted murder, Teo leaves the city to hide away in his birth town where an old teacher seems to be clued on what’s happening. He’ll be followed both by his hunters and defenders.
I've personally found that recent Filmax outings have promised more than they've delivered and there's something about the trailer for this one that just feels off, though I've not been able to put my finger on what. That said, it's an interesting concept and Filmax are still the big kids on that particular block so it's got to be worth at least taking a look at.
